This course is an introduction to air-conditioning and refrigeration.  You will design, fabricate and install many types of HVAC and refrigeration systems, troubleshoot and repair residential and commercial systems, use logical thinking to interpret blueprints, electrical schematics and operational sequence charts.  Upon successful completion of the course, students will have the opportunity to take the Oklahoma State Department of Career and Technology Education HVACR Technician and Refrigeration Technician exam.

This course is an introduction to oxyfuel cutting, and basic SMAW (stick) and GMAW (mig) welding. Trainees will learn the methods and procedures of beads and fillet welds in construction, weld joint fit up and alignment, and base metal preparation. After successful completion of this course, students will be eligible to take the Oklahoma Department of Labor State Structural Certification. The exam is administered at no charge for the first attempt, but there is a $25 processing fee payable to the state after passing the exam.
