Tatting is one of the forms of making lace.  It has been used to make lacy borders for ladies hankies, tablecloths and napkins, doilies, and many other items.In this class, you will learn the basics of needle tatting as well as how to read a simple pattern.  There are two different methods you can use, both of which can even be used at the same time, eventually.  You will be learning the Ring and Thread method in this class.  By the end of classm you will have made a simple little flower.  If you enjoy anything involving the needle arts, you will love tatting as well!  Supplies needed:  Size 5 tatting needles (set if 3-4 available at Hobby Lobby for $12.00 + tax)  Ball of crochet thread, size 10 ( do not get black thread), Pair of thread cutting scissors.
